The holiday season is upon us and there’s no better time to shop for a mechanical keyboard than now! Obviously the sound the keyboard emits is a pivotal deciding factor to any purchase of a keyboard, so with that in mind, here is Vol. 2 of Mechanical Keyboard sounds from Sypnotix keyboard reviewers Seri and Alex.

I’ve grown to really like using the C1 as my main keyboard at the home office these last couple of months. My time with the board will definitely end sooner rather than later as I have a back loaded inventory of boards I need to review, but I will definitely keep the C1 nearby and pull it out in-between reviews. I love the minimalist approach that a lot of Keychron products have. They’re affordable and they look aesthetically pleasing on just about any desk. The C1 has all of those signature Keychron approaches and performs as well as I’d expected. I think it’s priced correctly and offers a good amount of flexibility to buyers with on the fly toggling between different operating systems. For $60, the Keychron C1 has leapfrogged straight to the top of my recommendation list for tenkeyless keyboards currently on the market.

If you’re in the market for a cool-looking budget mechanical keyboard with a little bit of RGB flair, then the Blackshark Sixgill could be a great option. It’s got all the bells and whistles you’d expect to see on a gaming keyboard and offers reliable performance. It’s not the epitome of luxury, but it gets the job done. Though the customization could be made easier and the placement of multimedia keys better organized, the Blackshark Sixgill feels like a good value for the price.

The Tecware Spectre Pro has a sleek design that will look great with any RGB setup. It comes with swappable Oetemu switches and has double-shot ABS keycaps. These features give you a lot of bang for your buck as swappable switches make the board customizable and double-shot keycaps can stand up to heavy use.

I am genuinely shocked at how much I like this keyboard. When this box arrived at our office, I really didn’t know what to expect. To be exact, I had no expectations. I’ve seen MelGeek advertise on social media and I’ve kind of just glossed over the brand while reviewing mechanical keyboards. This isn’t a full review as I haven’t had enough time with the Mojo 84 to give my full thoughts on the product, but for a hands on experience, MelGeek could not have made a better impression from start to finish. I rarely get caught off guard with an unboxing experience and they do feel more special in year five of Sypnotix’s existence than in year one as we’ve just opened and used so many different types of tech gadgets. I can honestly say I have never seen anything quite like this mechanical keyboard.

Ultimately, I found the MX to live up to its namesake in quality and performance. It just feels like a natural companion to my MX Master mouse working on the programs I used the original Logitech K750 with. I love the comfort level and functionality that the board provides with very little trade off.

Honestly, it is a great little budget board. The size is compact but not too small, the keycaps are doubleshot, the switches are hot-swappable, and there’s a decent number of lovely RGB lighting presets. Not to mention, the blue and white color scheme is gorgeous. I honestly don’t have much negative to say about this board, and if it weren’t for the fact that I test boards a lot, I might even use it as my main board! I’m so surprised by how much I liked this, and I never expected myself to fall for a compact keyboard.

Ultimately, the people who are most likely looking to buy this board will be interested in it because they like seeing red. They like the red accented W,A,S,D keys. They like the sharp red backlight. And most importantly, they like the red clearance sticker on the package. At $50, this is a very usable gaming keyboard that, while not exactly catering to my personal tastes, does function well enough to warrant a look at if you want to unify your desk setup with Omen products.

We love mechanical keyboards here at the Sypnotix. Just when we thought we’ve reviewed everything there is to review, something new and refreshing graces our desktop. The Ficihp mechanical keyboard isn’t the only keyboard out there with a built-in display, but it certainly is the most useful incorporation I’ve used to date.

This typewriter keyboard does feel a bit like I'm pushing the keys down really far. This is not my personal preference, but if you want to experience a keyboard that feels like a legit typewriter, then maybe you’d actually like that it feels like keys get pressed down farther than usual

I feel like there is a lot to like here from Womier. You can easily find a gaming keyboard at this $40 price point, but you don’t always find a board that both looks and performs nicely. There’s absolutely no mistaking this for a premium keyboard, yet I’d easily classify it as punching above its price point. At the end of the day, if you’re able to buy a product and come out of it feeling like it was a steal of a deal, that probably means that it’s a pretty good product.
