GOG strikes streaming deal with Amazon Luna

If you are an Amazon Prime subscriber, chances are you’re familiar with GOG.com, the digital PC game store that specializes in offering DRM-free titles across the various computing platforms. Amazon Prime has offered free game offers through GOG for some time.

While that partnership was a means to add additional benefits to Prime, the two parties are now taking their relationship to the next level as they've just announced that GOG purchased games will be able to stream through any device capable of Amazon Luna's services going forward.

That means theoretically, someone would be able to stream their GOG library of PC games on a Fire tablet or even a Fire TV.

While not every title on GOG will be available for streaming at the get go, this is an interesting entry point into a mass streaming platform as Amazon claims you’ll just need either an Amazon Prime or Luna+ subscription to stream your GOG library. Amazon reportedly has 230 million Prime users (source: Yaguara), so that’s plenty of potential users that will have access to their PC games nearly anywhere on anything.
