WWDC brings AI to Apple and Siri

If the message wasn’t clear before, it’s crystal clear now: if you aren’t investing in AI, you’re going to fall behind. As with almost every single tech company to announce new products in 2024, Apple has confirmed their AI vision for the Apple ecosystem at WWDC ‘24.

Siri will receive one of its biggest updates ever thanks to Apple’s utilization of ChatGPT. Siri will ask users if they would like to learn an answer for a query using ChatGPT before processing it for free. No ChatGPT account will be required, nor will a subscription to the service be needed.

iOS 18 will also finally bring RCS to iPhones after years of resistance in unifying the form of texting with the rest of the world.

The synergy between MacOS and iOS will also be further improved upon as macOS15 will allow iPhone users to mirror their smartphone screen onto their Mac display.
